By making a financial donation to SINGA Brussels, you are playing a direct part in creating a more open and inclusive society. Your support enables us to:
- organise intercultural activities and events to foster social connections between new arrivals and local people
- to create spaces for social interaction and solidarity that reduce social isolation
- to change perceptions of migration and break down barriers and prejudices
« Behind every donation, there are encounters, projects and friendships that are formed. »
In practical terms, your donation directly funds our work on the ground:
- 15 € a person’s participation in a SINGA activity
- 50 € helps to support the organisation of an intercultural event that encourages interaction between local people and newcomers
- 100 € helps to support the social and economic integration of refugees in Brussels
- 250 € helps to support the development of new programmes and partnerships
The Friends of SINGA Fund, set up on the initiative of our philanthropic friends, is managed by the King Baudouin Foundation and aims to support the non-profit organisation’s projects. Monthly donations enable us to develop sustainable initiatives and plan our programmes for the long term: this is the most effective way to support us over the long term.

We are regularly looking for items in good condition and in working order: board games for our activities, sports equipment, arts and crafts supplies, audio and video equipment, IT equipment and event equipment.
Please contact us with a description of the items: our team will let you know if they meet our current needs, and we will then arrange for you to drop them off or for us to collect them.

- To help members of the community regain confidence in themselves and their abilities, and to break out of isolation
- To change perceptions of migration, combat prejudice and help people discover the full richness and added value of a multicultural and inclusive society.

“It’s great because I feel that we come from very different backgrounds, but fundamentally, we both want to get to know each other better, with a lot of kindness"
Anne-Sophie -
“I really liked the idea of get-togethers and activities where we just spend time together without exchanging pleasantries that ultimately serve ‘no purpose’ – our country of origin doesn’t define us. Our strategy in board games, our sense of humour, etc., do a better job of defining us as individuals in our own right. It makes me want to go to every get-together I possibly can.”
Pierre -
“My buddy and I had a really great time over the past three months, both with the activities organised by Singa and those outside Singa. My buddy really helped me a great deal with quite a few things that might have seemed difficult to me as a newcomer, and it’s thanks to Singa that I had this opportunity to make a friend who was invaluable to my integration, so I’d like to thank you for everything you do for newcomers, of whom I was one."
Ken -
“I’ve been in Brussels for a year and a half, but I’ve only just discovered SINGA… It’s changed my life here – I wish I’d found you sooner!"
Nebi -
“SINGA, the greatest organisation that is here in Belgium, especially in bazar for socializing, help me find apartment. The process was amazing, very fast and unbelievable, for the first time someone actually talked with me, listened to me and considered me as a person not just a name.”
